Off the Theme - YouTube Videos (How to Make Passive Income)

For quite some time, I have been trying to break into working from home and successfully did so slightly before the pandemic started. What I have noticed is the increasing trend of people working from home. There are now thousands upon thousands of videos available on how to start your own business or make a passive income with minimal effort while maximizing earnings. While there is some truth to these claims, not everyone shares the inner workings or specific details on how to be successful in these money-making techniques. When you observe and listen to these content creators, they are actually making money from the viewers through likes, thumbs up, and subscriptions. However, the reality is that many of us struggle with disappointment, frustration, impatience, lack of discipline, and feeling lost. This may be due to a lack of technical skills or being at an age where discouragement sets in more easily.

I myself have experienced these challenges, being 49 years old and soon to be 50. It's not easy for me to stay motivated or optimistic when it comes to initiating passive income methods or finding profitable niches. I have been teaching English to speakers of other languages for the past 18 years, and now I am doing it independently by contracting my services through a platform called Preply. It is challenging, but also rewarding because of the people I meet and the impact I have on expanding their abilities to communicate in English.

If you are seeking to find your niche and earn maximum income with minimal effort, it is crucial to have discipline, creativity, and a stable financial situation that doesn't demand immediate payback for your time investment. If your financial situation requires immediate returns, it would be better to have a job that provides regular pay. I don't want to imply that content creators on YouTube are intentionally withholding information or sharing partial truths. They may indeed be telling the absolute truth, but there are often gaps or minor details they are unable or unwilling to explain in their videos.

To find success in earning passive income, a person needs to experiment and find what works for them. However, this process takes a significant amount of time. In conclusion, I want to offer encouragement rather than discouragement on this topic. If you are a content creator, I congratulate you. My intention is not to defame or say anything negative towards anyone. For those aspiring to start from scratch, ensure you have a steady source of income in your recreational or off-time. Feel free to experiment during that available time, but be prepared to invest plenty of time and effort to find what truly works. Acquiring success in different niches or passive income opportunities takes time and does not happen overnight unless something goes viral, which is rare. Don't be discouraged, but understand that patience and persistence are required before achieving the necessary financial success to resign from your full-time job and live off the fruits of your labor from your niche or passive income project.

English Teaching Methodologies - "Listen Process Speak & Communicative Language Teaching" (Part -1)

As a teacher of English to speakers of other languages for the duration of these almost past 18 years, I can truthfully say that methodologies are very important, and whether you're a casual teacher, coach, or instructor or you're newly certified & titled professional who's just getting started. More than one methodology is necessary to have in your repertoire. In this blog, I will elaborate on a couple of very basic methodologies that everyone uses, and in all likelihood, one of them they do not acknowledge as a methodology.

Before we begin, it is important to establish the meaning of methodology, in the Merriam-Webster dictionary it is defined as provided.

"Methodology 1a body of methods, rules, and postulates employed by a disciplinea particular procedure or set of procedures. 2the analysis of the principles or procedures of inquiry in a particular field."

Listen, Process, Speak (LPS): LPS simply known as Listen, Process, Speak. The instructor provides valuable information to the learner who gradually processes the information with the incentive of being motivated to give a response when it is permitted or required in the classroom setting. It must be noted that in this particular classroom setting, we're working with beginners who are classified as A0 or A1 English learners. "LPS" has been used ever since the beginning of human existence and immediately upon conception and then continued after birth is continued throughout the person's existence. Processing the information that is relayed to the person through audible speech requires the listener to process that information and once they have understood the message proceed to respond in an appropriate fashion or as the situation requires. LPS is not looked upon as a genuine methodology because of the supposed absence of a body of methods, rules, and postulates employed by a discipline, but I beg to differ. Once the maestro has presented themselves and established order within their teaching space all of those requirements have been met. The course is able to commence and the learner(s) are able to develop their desired foreign language skills.

The next methodology is Communicative language teaching (CLT): This is the most widely used approach to English teaching today. CLT emphasizes the development of communicative competence, which is the ability to use language effectively in real-world contexts. CLT lessons typically focus on meaningful tasks and activities that allow learners to practice using language for communication. (https://bard.google.com/ "prompt; act as an expert in English teaching methodologies.) I will add that in this particular methodology, the learner has basic language communication skills in the foreign language and is capable of asking questions in order to attain more information from the instructor when it is necessary to satisfy a doubt or curiosity.

Here are two basic methodologies at your disposal, just remember that these two basic methodologies require you to have excellent classroom control and learners that are consistently engaged in your presentation. The best suggestion that I can share with you is to be sure to involve your learners through questions & games so that they are involved and feel that they are involved in the learning experience and not merely spectators within the classroom.

Greetings/Salutations/Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my blog. It has been a long time coming. A few years ago, I contemplated creating a blog but struggled with choosing a topic and lacked the interest to commit to such an endeavor. Many of us start with enthusiasm to write our first blog but then struggle to follow up with subsequent ones. Well, let's see how I do after this initial blog. My goal is to provide interesting and beneficial content to my readers in the hopes that they will share it with others.

To begin, I am a native of Dayton, Ohio, born in the summer of 1973. Growing up as a biracial or multiracial child, also known as mulatto, in the '70s and onwards presented its challenges. During my childhood, I lived in a low-income neighborhood and attended a school that is not very vivid in my memory. However, I do recall my teacher mentioning to my mom that I had a tendency to daydream in class and not complete my assignments. As a result, my mom made the decision to have me repeat the first grade, even though the teacher was willing to let me proceed to the second grade. I can't remember my exact reaction, but I do know that I faced the same issue the following school year, which frustrated my mom. Eventually, she surprised me at school, expressing her frustration and providing me with a gentle tap on the back of the head as motivation to be more focused on my assignments.

Why did I share this experience? I want my readers to know that I am a dreamer. Dreams are valuable, even if you find yourself daydreaming with your eyes wide open instead of focusing on your responsibilities as a child. What about now, you may ask? I still dream occasionally, although not as much as before. Dreams remain essential, even as a mature adult with a couple of precious ones who depend on you. You want to demonstrate to them how to avoid the mistakes and pitfalls you encountered in life. I am pleased to say that my precious ones have managed to avoid excessive daydreaming, but they have fallen into a different kind of trap for which I was somewhat prepared. Hello, technology! YouTube (shorts), TikTok, and, of course, social media. These platforms, if I may call them that, are indeed powerful tools. Many content creators and ambitious individuals utilize them to earn a living, which is fantastic given the current era. These content creators have taken their dreams and transformed them into short and long clips that people can watch. With time, after accumulating enough views, clicks, likes, and thumbs up, they can convert their content into currency. If you, like me, daydreamed as a child and possess the know-how to leverage today's technology, go ahead and make your mark. Seize the opportunity while it's available. Just be cautious not to daydream for too long, or you might miss out. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, particularly when you have so much creativity waiting to be discovered by thousands, and possibly millions, of viewers.

This was Laz, and I've just shared all that jazz.
